Indesign Work (22nd January 2020)

Our work today mainly focused on working with text formats in Adobe Indesign, we learnt about text formats and making our own character styles, we then used this knowledge and applied it to our Advertorial campaign, the fonts we used were applied to the text in our advertorial. We focused on making new text character styles we could apply to the text without changing the font. This is the Text from my Advertorial In 2016, Telltale games announced their next project, Telltale at the time was known for reimagining franchises like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, but their next project was exciting for comic book fans, on 19th July of that year, Telltale released a world premiere trailer for their next franchise re imagining, Batman: A Telltale Games Series. Telltale Games is known for their unique style when it comes to video games, the big part of Telltale’s style is the ability for the player to influence the game through in-game choices that can change the story and affect t...

Feedback from Advertorial

After finishing the Advertorial I decided to get some feedback from some of my Peers Peter: "the layout was good as its readable and the pictures draw my attention"           " the text on the batman background was hard to read but Albie changed it from Blue to Red which made it more readable" Also I managed to Finish the Advertorial and I'm immensely proud of it, though I do believe that I need to get some more Feedback from Tony and maybe a few other people.

Advertorial Work (Layout of Advertorial)

Image
Our session with Tony today primarily consisted of working on the layout of the Advertorial we will be making, my advertorial is on Batman the Telltale Series, currently we will be working on the viral video and we are starting work on the advertorial itself, Tony helped us by drawing a diagram for us, we also had t draw the diagram as well and annotate it with labels.  Tony’s diagram looked different to my one, I have added some other annotations to help explain the Advertorial’s layout. Also, a part of the corresponding Viral Video to go with the Advertorial is animated and while all the Animated segments aren’t complete, I will upload these samples to a separate blog entries.

U.S.P (Unique Selling Point)

Unique Selling Point What is a Unique selling Point? A Unique selling point is a type of factor that can differentiate a certain product from its competitive rivals, the concept of a unique selling point was introduced in the 1940s as a theory of explaining why so many advertising campaigns were proven successful. An example of a unique selling point is Celebrity endorsements, let’s say for example that you buy some form of offbrand training gear from a website, but later that day you see an advert for Sixpad, the training gear endorsed by everyone’s favourite footballer, Christiano Ronaldo, in that situation you would cancel the order of the offbrand training gear and you would buy the Sixpad gear. Another Unique selling point example would be a type of video game, let’s say you’re playing your favourite Batman game and you’re thinking to yourself “Wow, this game is really cool, I wish that I could control the story myself.” Then you see a game called “Batman: The T...

Advertorial Viral Video

Image
What warrants a good Viral Video? What is the link between Churchill and chill? A CGI Dog, Nuff said. This video is one shot, but with more shots in it Tilt up, tilt down, the shot pans down to a CGI Dog and Skateboard Wideshot (Vista) Tilt down, The dog rides on the Skateboard. Tracking Shot on the Dog for the rest of the Shots + Voice-over on the 4th to 6th shot. Sound: All I hear is the music and Narration at the end as the logo comes on, also I hear the sounds of a suburban City My advertorial is about Batman: The Telltale Series the unique selling point is that you can make your own choices with the story, because the game adapts to your in-game choices. Update: How the video was made Animation I made part of my Viral Video in animation, I used a program called Stick Nodes Animator Pro for the first half of the viral video which was the animation and the rest was achieved through various forms of footage.

Advertorial Page: The corresponding launch video

For our Advertorial Page, we have to create a corresponding viral video to go with it, in order to follow the subject of my Advertorial, I plan to create some kind of tribute video for the first season of the game, as of now I don not have many ideas but I'm hoping to get some ideas down. *UPDATE* I've decided to structure my Viral Video similar to an advert
